New assistant of the Department
We would like to thank Mrs. Věra Mackeová, who is retiring today, for her dedicated and responsible work, we wish her good health and well-deserved well-being in the coming years. From June 14, 2023, Mrs. Klára Pavlů, DiS , will be working as an assistant at the Department of Power Engineering Equipment.
Dissertation defense
DISSERTATION DEFENSE On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 10:00 a.m ., the dissertation defense of the student Ing. Shehab Salem takes place , the dissertation thesis title is: Energy Harvesting Using Cylindrical Piezoelectric Transducers . The dissertation defense takes place at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Liberec, Studentská 2, building C, ground floor, department of energy equipment, classroom C102.

Prof. Václav Hynčica died
The Department of Energy Devices regrets to announce that on January 17, 2023, former colleague prof. Ing. Václav Hynčica, CSc. died at the age of 90. Prof. Hyncica was born on September 9. 1932. From 1969 to 1970, he worked as the head of the Institute of Thermomechanics and Technical Measurement of the then VŠST, where he also worked as a teacher in the field of heat science. In addition to his teaching activities, he worked with a number of companies dealing with the issue of heat use...
